We are a small hobby farm in Ketchikan, AK. "O.K. so where's Ketchikan?", you ask. Ketchikan is located in SE Alaska on Revillagigedo Island in a moderate rain forest. We normally get around 150" of rain per year, making it an interesting and challenging project to keep any kind of livestock. We currently raise goats for dairy and meat purposes. With the exception of our little Bogerian, Jester, our goats are registered with the ADGA or USBGA and we raise Nubians, Experimentals, and Percentage Boers. We are much more interested in function than showiness and so breed for a good combination of meat and milk production for our own use. Oh, yea, and also for spots, because I like color! I know, I know, that isn't very functional, but we all have our little quirks. Our herd consists of nine does, three bucks, two LGD's, and the occasional wether for meat. Our does are a 50% grade Nubian, a 50/50% Nubian/Oberhasli Experimental, four Purebred Nubians, a 75% grade Nubian, a 50/50% Nubian/Boer mix, a 75/25% Boer/Angora mix and our bucks are a 94% Boer and two purebred spotted Nubians. This site is a work in progress, so please check back for updates.

These are our livestock guardian dogs, Jack (the cream) & Hemi (the brindle). They are Anatolian Shepherd/Great Pyrenees mixes who come to us from Perry & Theresa Parker of Parker's Gourmet Goats! As you can see, they are very hard(ly) working dogs! ;0)

Ranger and Michaela. Ranger is a PB Pembroke Welsh Corgi and comes to us from Julie at Clover Island Kennels.

Update 04/24/2009: Whew! Swirlz kidded today with triplets. Not a pretty kidding, but we survived it and so did she. Below are pictures of a "Bogerian" (Boer/Nigerian). This is the buckling, one of the doelings didn't make it and the other left for her new home before I had a chance to take pictures. Update to the update 06/11/2009: O.K. so I guess he is staying. The kids and the hubby won't let me get rid of him or wether him! Could this be the start of something new?! AAAAAUGH!
